A signed APT repository serving Zamfono's Asterisk packages.
Unofficial Asterisk packages for Debian 13, built by Zamfono; not affiliated with or endorsed by Sangoma. Asterisk® is a registered trademark of Sangoma Technologies.
asterisk source. Asterisk's source code is not modified: the only change is to Debian's packaging, splitting the single module package into the functional groups listed below (Asterisk's internal test modules are not shipped, and versions carry a +zamfono13.N suffix). Matching source packages are published alongside the binaries, so every change is inspectable with apt source asterisk.
.buildinfo (source hashes and the exact version of every build dependency) is published under /debian/asterisk/22/buildinfo/ — the evidence needed to independently rebuild and compare the binaries.
Install the archive keyring package (this first fetch is trusted via HTTPS and this domain; afterwards APT keeps the keyring current through the repository's signed path):
wget https://packages.zamfono.com/debian/zamfono-archive-keyring_latest_all.deb sudo dpkg -i zamfono-archive-keyring_latest_all.deb
The installed key can be inspected with:
gpg --show-keys /usr/share/keyrings/zamfono-archive-keyring.gpg
The Zamfono archive master key fingerprint is 181B A83E BC2D 123A A21E 5F22 F94F DC7F FFB6 2A49 — also published in the asterisk-builder README, a channel independent of this server.
Register the repository:
sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/zamfono.sources <<'EOF' Types: deb URIs: https://packages.zamfono.com/debian/asterisk/22 Suites: trixie Components: main Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/zamfono-archive-keyring.gpg EOF
To also fetch source packages (apt source asterisk), use Types: deb deb-src instead.
latest and LTS may be used in place of 22 in the URI; both currently point at 22.
sudo apt update sudo apt install asterisk
This installs the Asterisk server with its configuration and the core module group. Add further module groups as needed, or install every group at once:
sudo apt install asterisk asterisk-modules
Detached debug symbols (*-dbgsym packages, for crash backtraces) are published in the separate trixie-debug suite, like Debian's own debian-debug archive. Add this stanza to zamfono.sources only when debugging, then install the dbgsym package matching the crashing package, for example asterisk-dbgsym asterisk-modules-core-dbgsym:
Types: deb URIs: https://packages.zamfono.com/debian/asterisk/22 Suites: trixie-debug Components: main Signed-By: /usr/share/keyrings/zamfono-archive-keyring.gpg
asteriskasterisk-config and asterisk-modules-core.
